The Trust Test

Ten questions. No points. Just a mirror.

This isn’t a quiz — it’s a gut check. A short but sharp reflection on the kind of business you’re building and the trust you’re earning along the way. There are no scores, just honest answers. It's worth revisiting regularly, especially with your team.

Once you’ve answered, consider sharing your responses with a colleague or co-founder. Alignment matters. If your answers are wildly different, that’s not a failure — it’s a signal. Trust is a team effort, and the strongest businesses grow when everyone is clear on what they stand for and how they show up.

1. Would I buy from me if no one was watching?

2. Have I ever said, “It’s good enough” when it wasn’t?

3. Is the promise my marketing makes exactly the experience I deliver?

4. Would I tell my best friend to buy this?

5. Have I built real permission to talk to my audience — or am I just shouting louder?

6. If my business disappeared tomorrow, would anyone miss it — or just replace it?

7. When I promise a result, do I deliver even when it’s inconvenient for me?

8. Do I truly know who I seek to serve — and who I’m willing to leave out?

9. When I say, 'trust us,' have I earned the right to ask for it?

10. Am I proud — deeply proud — of the way I earn each sale?
